Roche offers innovative solutions in the following treatment areas:
Millions of people are affected by respiratory diseases today. Roche focuses on making a positive difference for those battling these challenging diseases. Creating better treatment and understanding requires clear focus, collaborative integrated scientific approaches, knowledge sharing, and determination. To make this difference, Roche collaborates with experts, patient associations, and the entire healthcare ecosystem to provide more benefits to more patients.
Hematology, also known as the science of blood, is the branch of medicine that studies blood and blood disorders. Hematology is a complex and challenging field in medicine. What many of the diseases in this field have in common is the serious impact they can have on survival and quality of life. There are three main types of blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Each of these have various subtypes as well. Blood cancers account for about 10% of all new cancer diagnoses and 9% of cancer deaths in the United States each year. Finding innovative solutions for those affected by blood disorders is a priority for Roche.
There are hundreds of neurological disorders affecting millions of people worldwide. Almost all of us know someone who is affected by a neurological condition that can have a profound impact on daily life. Roche continues to push the boundaries of scientific understanding with innovative drugs and diagnostic tests, helping patients globally. Roche collaborates with key stakeholders such as academia, scientists, clinical researchers, and industry partners to reduce the burden of neurological diseases on patients and society.
In the past, cancer was treated as a single disease, but now we know that there are over 200 different types, each with different behaviors, growth rates, and stages of progression. Several cancer types and subtypes remain difficult to treat and major inequalities still exist in terms of outcomes. This situation poses an ever-increasing burden on society, particularly with the growing and aging population and emerging factors such as diet, environment, and exposure.
Roche's vision is to prevent and treat cancer. Understanding the complexity and impact of the disease comprehensively, as no single intervention can achieve this, Roche deepens its understanding of the biology and immunology of cancer by providing researchers with the freedom to explore the frontiers of science and technology, thus bringing this vision closer to reality sooner.
Rheumatology is the branch of medicine that studies rheumatic and other musculoskeletal disorders. Rheumatology deals with inflammatory rheumatic diseases and musculoskeletal disorders that often arise from the inappropriate functioning of the immune system. It is an area where many people face problems today. Roche, with a history of over 125 years in the fight against diseases, continues its efforts to create more value in the healthcare services ecosystem to provide more benefits in the patient journey in the field of rheumatology.
